Hey I'm a bartender (mixologist) looking for an outfit when I'm not working. I work downtown and looking for something when It's chilly out but not fucking freezing, just chilly like today.

Hi grey face.

Sure.

This should do.

Had a request for an “edgier” outfit from a friend, so I thought I’d throw something up. I figure edgy means black right?

Comune B SZA Jacket in Waxed black

Gitman Vintage white oxford

J. Crew sweatshirt

Self Edge Belt & Feather bracelet, Iron heart motorcycle chain bracelet

Alden 401

Flat Head diamond sneakers

Fall Kit Vol. 3: THE OLIVE PANT.

The great thing about the olive pant is how versatile it actually is.

Pictured from L to R:

Kway -Claude Jacket, Gitman vintage tie, Gitman Vintage Chambray, Gitman Vintage Floral pattern, Seiko 5 diver, Tanner goods double wrap bracelet and Heritage belt, Baldwin The Ryan pant in Olive, Alden Indy 405, Wolverine 1k Addison boot in tan.

Fall Kit 2: Red sneakers edition.

Not sure why the average person digs the red sneaks, but I get a ton of compliments on them so why not teach someone about them.

The key here is since they’re louder than the rest of your outift you’ll want to turn down the rest of the outfit and keep it casual.

Fall Kit Vol. 1: Urban photo exploration

A quick note about this series: This is not intended for people who’ve already developed their personal style sense, but more intended as a basic outline of dressing well, and showcasing basic principles without beating it over your head. Something that can be easily copied without having to dig too hard or buy a whole new wardrobe for. Somethings I’ll feature will be new, but most of it I already have owned for quite sometime.

As fall comes around I’m going to going out to shoot a lot more. First: I hate summer. It is too damn hot. There no variation of colors. I can’t wear layers. SO I’M LAYERING ON LAYERS ON LAYERS in celebration.

For practical reasons though: I realize I’m going to be spending a lot of time outside and will need something for variable fall (aka Chicago) weather.

The Levi’s commuter jacket after I wax it down will keep me dry. it has a water resistant finish and since it will be breathable and therefore won’t be overheating. The concealed hood is going to be a nice touch as well just in case.

Waiting to pull the trigger on the Topo camo bag, as my Herschel is sadly not waterproof. Camo because why not?

Especially since it’ll cool down into the evening, the sweater and thicker oxford will do the trick to keep warm waiting for the bus/el/cab.

Naked & Famous chinos will do much more to keep me warm than a regular twill pant, and my round toe Red Wings so I don’t eat shit and die while climbing around stuff.

For accessories: my beat Corter for Japan bracelet (nicely aged if I do say so myself) adds an lightweight accent to my non watch arm while not getting all crazy in the way. For my watch I have my safety orange faced Bulova on a KC Co. Natural leather nato strap (c/o of KC Co.).

Camo round up:
With fall coming around, and the amount of questions I’ve had about it, looks like I need to do a round up of slim cargo less camo pants.

Baldwin The Ryan: buy here

Naked & Famous Weird Guy: buy here

Dockers Alpha Camo Khakis: buy here

Tripp NYC Camo rocker pants: buy here

Levi’s Slim Taper Camo pants: buy here
I own the Levi’s Slim taper, and actually own the non camo version of the Dockers as well.
If I had the money: the Baldwin Ryan pant AND the Naked & Famous camo joints as well. So dope.
Edit - I will be making a Fall Kit based around camo as well for this fall. Keep your eyes open.
